Writing Blogs Can Be Your Full-Time Job

Only a few years ago writing a blog was one of those arcane hobbies were reserved for a select few, but in this rapidly changing 21st century, blogging has not only become a pastime within the reach of nearly everyone, it also can be a full-time job.

For a lot of people, this news is arriving just in the nick of time, as millions of recently unemployed and underemployed men and women have been scratching their heads trying to come up with new and better ways to make money.

Even though a lot of people have learned how to earn a steady income by blogging, the process is by no means automatic. That is why anyone interested in learning about setting up profitable blogs would be well advised to find a good set of instructions to follow.

For starters, although it is a very daunting challenge to make money with one highly successful blog, the task is much simpler when it is broken down into easier steps. This means setting up numerous small blogs, a strategy recommended by many blogging professionals.

Surprisingly, a lot of the steps in making a blog can be done almost automatically and can be accomplished in literally a matter of minutes. But the foundations on which money making blogs are built require the most time and effort. These elements are preliminary planning; selecting a topic or niche, doing keyword research and identifying the strength of your competition. The idea is to have a blog on a topic that a lot of people are interested in, not a lot of people are already in ahead of you, and — possibly most importantly — there is money to be made with it.

Once you have done some market research and picked out a topic you think will interest a large number of people, it is wise to check out the strength of your competition. How many other websites already exist in the same niche, and how well optimized are they to rank high with search engines?

Another very big challenge can be writing enough posts to serve a network of blogs. The more different niches you are covering, the more likely it will be that you will need to have some of your content written by others. You could either use free articles available from sources such as EzineArticles.com or pay for outsourced material. Amazingly, there is one source of professionally written blog posts that provides content in pre-researched niches for less than 7-cents per page.

Even if you follow the steps outlined above to the letter, your blogs may still not be profitable unless you get enough visitors reading them and responding to your advertising. It has been found that an excellent way to increase traffic to blogs is to get backlinks on other people’s blogs by writing comments that include the URL of your website.

By grounding yourself in the basics of blogging, such as how to get backlinks and finding inexpensive sources of professionally written content, a person is much more likely to be able to make a profitable profession out of building a network of successful blogs.

A free report with step-by-step details on how to make money blogging is now available online. And that great source for professional blog content at less than 7-cents per page is revealed on the Pro Blog Source website.
