WordPress and Twitter Integration

Twitter is the new tool of choice for many bloggers in 2009 and those who failed to jump on the “traffic train” that departed in 2006 and by the end of 2008 gained a huge momentum are joining now. In fact numbers of new Twitter users grows at such a fast pace we are seeing a whole new group of experts emerging – Twitter Experts.

I find it actually quite funny how people attempt and often succeed on earning money by teaching people what should be natural interaction and participation in social networks. Problem is – people guided by need fuel that ability and create the market open for some unscrupulous people. Spam and “hype marketing” become more and more norm and leads to huge number of people getting banned.

What I want to accomplish in this article are 2 things:

  1. Help you avoid been banned from a network that can be superb networking tool by following bad advice
  2. Help you figure out how to make your WordPress blog a viral tool ready for 2 way interaction with Twitter.

Twitter is social network. This of it as a group of people gathered to talk in one big place. You can find the group that talks about something you are interested in and join. Participate and benefit from it but if you attempt to game it – expect swift and merciless action. People of Twitter are not dummies and of someone teaching you some “shortcut” to benefit faster just think about it – would you do it face-to-face? If answer is not – avoid it!

And if you have a WordPress blog your options to immerse yourself into the twitter are truly unlimited. WordPress developers seem to come out with new plugin designed to work with your blog and enhance its functionality and integration in some fashion each and every day. Popularity has its benefits and in this case popularity of the Twitter leads to more options for you.

Word of caution: Not all plugins created equal! Some tend to overload your host and can cause you hosting account to be shut down by admins. Some might have a security issues and can lead to your blog been exposed and some are too raw and released before fully tested for functionality and compatibility and will break your blog!

Just be aware of the issues above and enjoy the new and enhanced interaction of your Twitterfic WordPress Blog.

Benefits of Blogging With WordPress

The World of Blogging Software

WordPress is a software platform for blogging that can be downloaded for free. It is an extremely popular blogging application for many different reasons which will be described below.

WordPress is such powerful software application because of the combination of value, quality, and ease of use that is unparalleled in the blog software world. While some people prefer to use more basic blog software, they too can truly benefit from the power of WordPress, and once they read about all the perks they too will be downloading the software for profit as well.

WordPress is Easy to Use

One benefit of WordPress is the ease of use, and advanced functionality of the software compared to some blog software applications. The beauty of WordPress is that neither installation of the software nor posting itself requires any knowledge of programming at all. An absolute internet beginner can, with a small amount of guidance, set up their own unique WordPress blog in a very short period of time.

Of course if you do know HTML programming you are able to easily customize your WordPress blog even further. Having the ability to utilize a program like this allows people to create blogs that are as high tech, and complete as full blown websites.

WordPress has Unbelievable Functionality

Yet another benefit of WordPress is its remarkable plugin library that allows for users to instantly add features, and functions to WordPress’ already impressive abilities. A plugin is a small program that can be easily added to WordPress to perform specific functions. For example there are many plugins available which optimize your WordPress blog so that it is more easily found by the search engines. Other plugins can automatically detect comments from spammers and delete them for you. These are just 2 simple examples of the many hundreds of plugins that are available. The plugin library for WordPress is robust because of the popularity of the software and many programmers and designers have created plugins based on their particular needs.

Have your own Unique Blog

If you have a self-hosted blog you can choose a special look according to your own taste and your potential market. There are many so-called WordPress themes that are easy to install. They can change the colour scheme and font of your theme among many other things. You can even change the theme of your WordPress blog after you have started blogging without losing any of your data.

WordPress Adds Up

When you add up all these elements you end up with a program that is fully capable of creating highly attractive blogs that encourage people to visit the sight and stay to read whatever is posted on it. If you ever wanted powerful blog software that was less template driven and more unique, WordPress is it.
