3 Tricks to Get Your Wordpress Blog Indexed in Days

Getting your Wordpress blog into Google can seem impossible. Some bloggers can get their Wordpress blog into Google in a matter of hours, while others take weeks or months. While Google doesn’t reveal its exact algorithm for indexing, there are some methods that have been proven to work for many bloggers.

Of course, many bloggers think that first thing they should attempt to get their Wordpress blog indexed is to submit it to Google. There is actually a lot of differing opinions on this point! Some bloggers think the Google look upon this favorably, and other bloggers think that hand submission won’t help at all.

My opinion is that it doesn’t seem to hurt your rankings, but Google know that it’s you who is submitting the blog. What they want are votes of confidence from other established websites or blogs. That’s why it’s better to forget about submitting your site to Google and to focus on getting backlinks from authority sites.

  1. Not everyone has established sites, however, there are sites out there that accept your content on their site. Article directories are one example. If you submit an article to an authority site like EzineArticles.com with a backlink to your site in the author’s resource box, the chances are good that you will get indexed fast.
  2. Another strategy that works well is to write great content and update your Wordpress blog on a daily basis. There is no perfect formula for this, but we do know that Google loves new content! If you can write a few posts to show that your blog is going to be a useful resource then the chances are that your Wordpress blog will get indexed.
  3. Another effective method is to submit your RSS feed to RSS feed directories. There are RSS directories out there that inform services that your blog has been updated. This can improve your chances of getting indexed. Some useful sites include Feedagg.com and Feedage.com.

If you’ve tried one of these methods and still haven’t made it into Google then don’t give up. Usually a combination of a few of these will be effective. Also, its worth your while being patient as it’s not unusual to wait a week or more to get indexed! Still, by following the methods above you’ll find that you get indexed quickly and often.

Tips to Making Blog Marketing a Home Business

Blog marketing is something that all blog owners need to do. In order to see a profit from your blog, you need to market to find as many readers as you can. There are many ways to market your blog, getting it into the line of sight for readers to benefit from. Blog marketing is also a great way to sell things by using affiliate links and programs. Blog marketing as a home business is one of the most affordable and achievable ways to make money online in this day and age.

If you are serious about turning blog marketing into a home business, you will need to have more than one blog. You should create a list of possible topics you will want to discuss on individual blogs. You need to only create posts in accordance with your topic. For example, if you are writing about potty training you will not want to include a post about investments as they do not relate. But you could write a parenting blog, then discuss various parenting concerns, such as potty training since most of your readers will likely be first time parents looking for help.

In order to make a living by blog marketing, you need to know every aspect of it. You need to know what needs to be done to get readers to your blog, how to write about the things that you are promoting and how to get it up in search engine rankings. Doing so will lead to successful blog marketing and making a home business income with it.

One of the hardest things to learn for many is SEO, or Search Engine Optimization. This consists of optimizing your blog in such a way so that the search engines will find it and rank it as high as possible. This leads to more traffic and leads from your blog. If you do not know how to do this, nor have the time, there are specialists you can hire to do it for you.

If you are planning on making a substantial amount of money with this business, you will want to outsource a lot of your work as time goes by. You may need another writer, a blogger to post comments on other people’s blog to link back to your site. A good plan of action is to write up a list of all job duties, decide how often they need to be done. This will keep you organized and able to prioritize accordingly.

Blog marketing for a home business is not much dfferent from any other home business. You will get out of it what you put into it. If you only work for two hours a day, you can not expect to make as much money as you could working full eight hour days. Being consistent and working on your blogs every chance you get will pay off in the long run. You will also discover that there is no better feeling in the world than owning your own home business, and working for yourself.

It all starts with your first blog. Start small, work hard, and soon you will see your dreams coming true. You can make money with blog marketing.

Is Twitter an Effective SEO Technique?

There’s no doubt about it – Twitter is a phenomenon. It has absolutely taken the social networking world by storm and is currently the fastest growing social platform with a massive increase in visitors every single day. However the world is split between those that ‘get it’ and those that really don’t have a clue and wonder what all the fuss is about.

Usually, those that don’t understand what it is and what it does usually come up with some excuse about it being a complete waste of time and totally pointless. I’m being unfair – it’s not an excuse, it’s a very valid reaction to something that they don’t understand yet everyone else appears to think is a big as the second coming.

But what is it and why is it taking the world by storm?

Well, Twitter explains the concept quite well themselves – it’s simply ‘micro-blogging’ or a platform by which you can type a really small message (140 characters – yes, less than SMS!) and this gets sent out to all your ‘followers’ (the people that are watching what you say). That’s it.

So, a bunch of people have expressed an interest in the information I put out on Twitter every day. Essentially, my 140 character nuggets of wisdom are important enough for them to want to read them and so they ‘follow’ me. Every time I utter something, they read it.

That’s it.

It works in reverse too. I follow them, they say something, I see it in my ’stream’ and if I like it, I can reply or ‘re-tweet’ it (essentially send it to all my followers).

Now, the answers to all the big questions are in that text above. The biggest question of all must be ‘how does this help me?’ and now I’ll provide the answer, it’s a humdinger.

Let’s say you are an accountant. You have 1000 followers on twitter and mostly you’ve been talking about the weather, the type of beer you like and the odd nugget of information about some odd accounts thing you do. But then you happen across something really interesting – you have some knowledge that will save people about 10% off their tax bill. You nonchalantly post this tidbit of information and suddenly people take notice. They also want to save the 10%.

One of your followers has 2000 followers of his own and he posts your information thinking it will be interesting to a lot more people. He’s right, suddenly they’re following you too. Your message has now reached up to 3000 people. What if some of those re-posted your information?

All well and good and you might get some extra followers but what you’re now doing is ‘networking’ and some of those followers will get in touch directly to say “can you save me that amount?” and you’ve got a customer.

So don’t dismiss Twitter, it is far more powerful than many people imagine and it’s really going to change the way we do business.
