Business blogging is a proven online marketing medium that can save you hundreds, even thousands of dollars in advertising costs.  If you haven’t yet got a blog for your business you really are giving your competitors who have a real edge. 

Here are just some of the benefits: 

Networking. Online information spreads quickly especially, more especially free and valuable informative posts.

Relationship Building. Blogging is a great relationship builder, not as good as email of course, but nevertheless, the relationship aspect cannot be overlooked. 

Feedback and customer care. Use your blog as an opportunity to get customer feedback and responses to your products or services, it’s a good opportunity to test the market. 

Community involvement. Most bloggers are helpful and like to build relationships with other bloggers.  For better results, actively get involved in the blogosphere, make friends and create partnerships. 

A Blog is in effect a market stall in a huge world wide market. You have the opportunity to show your wares, take surveys and polls, talk to potential customers, test the waters for new products, get feedback for existing services and products and not forgetting the back links you will have when you link to your site. Don’t link on every post though – perhaps one post in 4 or 5 is enough, and make sure you link to relevant and different pages of your main business site.  And finally, don’t forget the RSS feeds. RSS is powerful if used correctly, make it your business to read up on this aspect of blogging.
